In the midst of the natural environment, Theatre Grec nestles into the flank of Montjuic Mountain near Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium. The amphitheater, constructed in 1929 and designed by the architect Ramón Raventos, is styled after the open air Greek theaters of yore.
Today the theater is used exclusively in summertime for Barcelona’s annual Grec Festival, named after the impressive theater which facilitates the traditional plays.
