The Istituto Europeo di Design offers academic studies and professional formation in the fields of design, fashion, visual art and communications. It now oversees programs in six Italian, Spanish and Brazilian cities.

The IED foregrounds practical knowledge: its workshop-style training processes aim to promote a vibrant approach to creativity. Its reputation attracts international, as well as local, students. Summer courses are held in English and Spanish, and include accommodation.
