This beloved Born restaurant is overwhelmingly charming, thanks to its rustic beauty recalling a traditional Spanish bodega. Inside, ancient terra cotta pots and decanters litter the dining area walls, a lively touch to Bodega La Tinaja’s robust stone walls and mishmash of wooden ceiling beams.

Predictably, the wine flows here. Dim lighting and small wooden tables encourage glass after glass, as does a fantastic wine list that takes a cue from the restaurant’s past incarnation as a wine cellar. The fare is simple and honest, with paella, inspired salads, Iberian ham and cheese plates, tapas like a warm salted cod dip and weekly specials—we got lucky with a gooey, cinnamon-heavy moussaka. Keep an eye out for the occasional appearance by a flamenco guitarist, the only addition which could further enhance the regional flavor of this romantic crowd-pleaser.Quote_transparent
