CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) was designed by architects Albert Viaplana and Helio Piñón and constructed in 1994, doing its part to upgrade the then haywire Raval district.

This public consortium and center for research hosts events, exhibits, film series, festivals and debates that dissect and investigate the relationship between man and nature, and between culture and technology. At 15,000 square meters, CCCB is certainly Spain’s largest cultural center, boasting a diverse range of engaging material, from various audiovisual installations and art exhibits to a grand library of books, catalogues and digital publications.Quote_transparent
