This biennial event amasses experts from around the world (filmmakers, producers, programmers, distributors, academics, archivists…), who meet in Barcelona to debate the current direction of experimental cinema. In three days of discussions, screenings and presentations, Xperimenta explores the artistic and technological developments of the form – casting a critical eye on the past and present in an attempt to get a feel for the future.
