Simian Mobile Disco are James Ford and James ‘Jas’ Shaw. They first formed Simian Mobile Disco as a DJ partnership, playing around Manchester.

Their DJing then led to remixes for bands such as Air, and eventually Simian Mobile Disco began their own original production work. Soon the Mobile Disco name took on a life of its own.

The pair have played with groups like LCD Soundsystem, Tiefschwarz and Soulwax. They’ve also remixed The Kills, Ladytron and The Departure.
