The next installment in the temporary shop-front/exhibition space El Escaprate features works by Argentinian artist Carmen Dalone.
Just as El Escaparate takes the humble shop window and transforms it into a functioning art space, so too does Dalone take everyday objects and attempt to turn them into pieces while still maintaining their intended functionality.
The chairs Dalone uses for this exhibition have been adorned with various trinkets and elements representative of their history (Dalone interviewed each chair’s owner) in a project which demonstrates the entwined relationship between human and object.
