Skank to that addictive rocksteady beat as veteran ska band The Skatalites come to Barcelona. The Skatalites recorded their first record Ska Authentic in Studio One studios in 1964, originating ska music and going on to record for ska and reggae greats like Prince Buster and Duke Reid, among others.

No longer in their original formation—as Don Drummond and Jackie Mittoo have long since passed—the Skatalites still rev up audiences with their infectious rhythms. Their shows still have the magic, as they’ll prove again tonight.
